I bought this Capri at the end of March 2022 from Sutton Classics. I always said I’d only take it out on special occasions and worried whether I should use it at all being such an old car. But in the six months I’ve had it I’ve done over 4000 miles in it and it hasn’t missed a beat! And it’s been on some lengthy journeys too once driving for two and a half hours constant down the A1 to Shuttleworth, at 70 and 80 mph no problems at all. I’d say I’d trust it to get me anywhere as much as I trust my Mondeo.

The body work and paintwork is immaculate. And the rust protection! Everywhere these cars used to rot back in the 70’s has been treated all the seams, inside the wings, behind the  lights, under the scuttles, all underneath. It’s better protected now then it’s ever been. So not only was it restored right it was done to be used! 

Wherever I take it whether it’s Tesco’s car park or a local car show, it gets loads of attention and always being photographed. Even at the mk1 owners club national day at Shuttleworth when it was next to 29 other mk1’s! My new hobby is parking it and sitting near by watching people admire it, I know it’s sad!!

It’s the best thing I’ve ever bought EVER! And judging by the prices I’ve been seeing lately I think it was a bit of a bargain. 

I really can’t recommend Sutton Classics enough, 5 stars just wouldn’t be enough.
